We are an adventure company that has taken the outdoor experience one level farther and are going to allow you to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors with your canine family member. Finally, an outdoor experience that includes your best friend who happens to be canine. What better way to enjoy mother nature's offerings while not having to worry about your dog stuck at home or in a kennel?
Our adventures are currently focused east of the Twin Cities metro area in the environmentally protected Saint Croix National Scenic Riverway managed by the National Park Service and at area lakes. Many adventures start within a mere one hour drive from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Adventures are geared for both novice and experienced outdoor lovers. We always include instruction and ongoing feedback to help you and your pet enjoy your experience and make it a positive one. Currently, our classes are geared for a personal one-on-one experience with the instructor so you can move at the speed that you and your dog feel comfortable with. Individualized instruction makes for a more enjoyable experience for all involved.
Our veteran guides are knowledgeable outdoors people with a wide range of expertise in canoe and backpack camping. They are excellent paddlers, fishermen, camp cooks and campfire starters, although story telling abilities vary greatly. Depending on the type of trip you are interested in, such as sight seeing, dog play, birding, nature watching, photography, etc. we will do our best to accommodate that into your individualized trip. For safety, each trip is monitored by state-of-the-art industry hi-tech communication and navigation aid which charts your travels via GPS though the SPOT Satellite Tracker. Also, all guides have Remote Wilderness First Aid certifications and Wilderness First Responder Certifications.
The resident canoe guide dog Moose will also be along to assist and teach your pooch the ins and outs of doggie canoeing, not to mention he is an excellent playmate to dogs of all sizes, breeds and sex.
